March Blog Circle | Interesting Perspectives

I’ve really fallen behind on my blogging but I am determined to keep up with this one goal, the CM Blog Circle.  I’m still working on my photography skills but for some reason (lack of time and motivation) my photos just aren’t making it to my blog.  Anyway, this month pushed me to find new angles and I was pleasantly surprised by several photos. 

My photograph is of my baby girl.  She was sitting at the top of a slide on the playground and I shot her looking up from the bottom of the slide.

February Blog Circle | Food Photography

I almost forgot about the challenge for this month! I'm so thankful that another member of the blog circle posted a little reminder a few days ago and it seems that I wasn't the only one to forget!

My husband bought a large box of Nerds last week and my daughter has decided that he needs to share. Candy is her weakness. She can easily pass up cookies, cakes, donuts, and ice cream (and has declined to eat these foods on several occasions) but the child has yet to say no to candy. Skittles are her favorite :) She has had small boxes of single color Nerds in the past but this box is different. It has assorted colors and she calls them "Different Colored Nerds."

Week 5 | Jan 29 – Feb 4

I'm so happy that I'm finally decluttering. I'm planning on selling this bag and my kit lens and put the money into my new lens fund. I'm hoping to be able to get a macro lens soon!

January Blog Circle | Close Up Portraiture

I am thrilled to be participating in a photography project this year with some very talented ladies on Clickin Moms.  This project started late last year and it seems like it has taken FOREVER to finally get to our first post!  I can’t wait to see what everyone has created.  I know all the ladies are extremely talented and I just hope I don’t embarrass myself!

Unfortunately this has been a tough month around my house with one family member after another becoming ill.  Everyone is on the mend now (hopefully!) but I didn’t get to shoot as much as I had hoped.  I did get a very cute series of close up of my oldest daughter.  I was attempting to get her to smile naturally which was especially difficult after the holidays and all of the posing and ‘cheesing’ she did with our families.  I ended up telling her not to smile for any reason (which is impossible when someone says that) and trying to guess what color her tongue was (she had just finished a freezer pop.)


 
 
 

I think #3 is my favorite :).

Week 4 | Jan 22-28

I was  little more successful this week.  I took some action shots of my girls in the swing.  I wanted to work of focus and I wanted to catch the baby’s funny hair when the “wind” caught her hair while swinging.  While capturing these moments I also noticed a beautiful golden sunset.   I couldn’t get a good view of just the sunset so I attempted a tree silhouette.

This week was full of sickness.  I just consider myself lucky that I got this photo.
