I'm starting with the
Two Peas 12 week course. This week is about Aperture. The assignment is to try out 3 different apertures in "aperture priority" mode -- I set the aperture and the camera chooses the shutter speed. They recommend doing this on a sunny day. Unfortunately, it is cloudy today so my outside shots didn't turn out well. So, I decided to make my bedroom as bright as I could. I also had to slightly change to assignment to the f-stops that would still produce a picture. Also, I had to use my in-camera flash. Focus was on the shoe buckle.

50mm
f/1.8 ~ 1/200 ~ ISO1000

50mm
f/5.6 ~ 1/200 ~ ISO1600

50mm
f/11 ~ 1/80 ~ ISO1600
As bad as these pictures are, they still illustrate the point about aperture in the lesson. Just for fun, I took a picture set on AUTO to see what setting the camera would choose:

50mm f/2.8 ~ 1/60 ~ ISO200
I may try this experiment again later this week on a sunnier day.
